John has been working here for eight years. His wife and two older children have been here for five years and the youngest was born in Ireland. The Rectos applied for naturalisation in 2008.
If they are deported it will send a message to every other migrant worker that they are only welcome here so long as they Keep their heads down and accept any terms their employer thinks fit. If they stand up for their rights they will be shipped home.
Please sign the petition below calling on the Minister for Justice Dermot Ahern to allow the Rectos to stay in Ireland. Lobby your TDs and councillors to stop this injustice.
